Bringing the state closer to its citizens

Central government is in the midst of decentralizing state services, to provide better access to citizens outside of the city and reduce the necessity city business and the corresponding congestion that accompanies those services.  

Several key state services such as the Guyana Revenue Authority, Passport Renewal Services have been take outside the city and government hubs operated by the Ministry of Public Service ensures a smooth delivery.  

Silica will feature space for governmental service and permitting to be done within the ambits of the city to ensure all business can be conducted without the need for transit to Georgetown. Further, the government may choose to house several diplomatic and multilateral offices in the city to generate organic demand and help the city flourish.
